Kejriwal is being dragged into the muddle only because he is doing good work
The ruling alliance has definitely lost its respect and credibility in the eyes of the common man by victimising Anna and his team members. The timing of issuing notice to Arvind Kejriwal for tax evasion is a not right. Why didn’t the UPA raise this issue earlier? Kejriwal is being targeted only because he is
doing some good work.
Anna’s refusal to accept Z security by the state government was a good move as it is just a political ploy. It also shows that Anna is a man of character. Many politicians enjoy Z+ security as a status symbol even when they don’t need it.
As far as Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan and Om Puri are concerned, I feel they should have exercised some restraint while speaking on a public platform. Even in the Congress party, all politicians are not corrupt. As the prime minister of the country Manmohan Singh deserves some respect, as he shoulders the responsibility of running the country. Team Anna should have been careful and followed their mentor, who has not crossed the line till now.

The government lost its credibility a long time ago
The recent tricks of the government to hit back at Team Anna are very immature. It is evident that the government does not have any reason to point fingers at Anna and his team, so they are trying their best to restore what they have lost. The government lost its credibility a long time ago, so I don’t think they have anything more to lose in the eyes of the common man.
I agree that Manmohan Singh has a clean image, but we cannot say the same for other members of the party he is representing.
He is like the father of the party; he is answerable for the wrongdoings of his party members.Team Anna has done a good job by agitating in a fair and peaceful manner. There is no need for the politicians to react so badly because they are only trying to clean the system.
The politicians will obviously not support the Jan Lokpal Bill, as they know it will backfire on them and their corrupt practices. So, I am sure that the government will again find a way to not keep their promise of bringing in the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Providing Anna with Z security was a move to distance him from the people
The government is using such tactics to weaken Team Anna and its movement for the Jan Lokpal Bill. Since the British left India, the Congress party has been in charge of the country. Corruption among politicians has spread during their rule. Around ten years ago, if you wanted to do something illegal, you had to pay bribe; but today even if you want to do something legal, you have to pay bribe.
Corruption is so deep rooted in our system that it must be tackled seriously and Anna is doing the right thing in fighting this evil.
Team Anna is bound to face resistance from politicians, so they should hold their ground firmly to resist this strategy of politicians to weaken them. Providing Anna with Z security was a smart move to distance and isolate him from the people and restrict his movement.
At the end the government will have to bow down and bring in the Jan Lokpal Bill because that’s what the people want and the people are above the Constitution. Democracy is for the people and by the people. The politicians must not think that once they are elected, they are not accountable and have got the ticket to loot the common man.

State government providing security is nothing but a political ploy
Anna has become a national hero and the government is trying to show that they care for him. So, providing him with Z security is nothing but a political ploy. One must understand that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Hence, the political reaction against Anna and his team is also expected. I would say that it just the beginning; more such hurdles will be created for Anna and his team.
The recent move of slapping privilege notices on Anna’s aides was expected and the members are also aware that such things are going to happen. I am not at all surprised with the way the government is reacting.
I think what the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) requires is a proper strategy for crises management.
However, Team Anna also requires the same management expertise. Swami Agnivesh’s exit has affected Team Anna in a bad way. Even Kiran Bedi should be cautious while speaking on a public platform; democracy does not mean you can do anything. I also feel that Team Anna requires more members, who are nation-oriented.

Government is resorting to such dirty tactics to weaken Team Anna
The government is trying to intimidate Anna and his team by using such tactics. It is obvious how different strategies are being used to weaken Team Anna. At the moment it is very hard to say if the Jan Lokpal Bill will come into existence. During Anna’s protest, many politicians tried to get mileage from the movement. Anyway, it is just a handful of people in the government who are trying to isolate Team Anna.
Anna has refused Z security publicly, so it will be discontinued. What bothers me is the way few intellectuals have spoken against Anna’s fight against corruption. I feel that a citizen’s right to question wrongdoing should not be curtailed.
